This PetSafe Extreme Weather Dog Door features a unique 3 part flap design including 2 flexible plastic flaps with a padded flap (Yellow portion) located in between the exterior and interior frame. These flaps and frame do not include any weather stripping pile brush. The plastic flaps include a magnetic strip along the base, connected to a magnet embedded in the base of the frame. The center yellow insulating pad does include any magnets, free floating in place. The frame of this door is made of thinner plastic, so it is not recommended for consumers looking for an industrial grade frame. Vinyl strips are included (cut by hand) to fit the door thickness. There is no mounting flange to line the perimeter of the rough cut.
